Coast Courtenay Hotel

I’ve stayed at Coast Courtenay twice now and just booked again since January. The rooms are basic but clean and the beds are very comfortable, but where they really stand out is the great service. The staff are all incredibly friendly, and even when I forgot my toothbrush the front desk clerk was quick to drop one off right to my room! The prices are so affordable, I don’t need to think twice to book Coast Courtney when I’m up island for a ski trip.

Perfect location for us due to proximity to Mount Washington. I like being close to the mountain yet still able to experience the variety of restaurants and breweries in the Comox valley. The lounge in the hotel was a really cool feature, and the coffee machine actually made a variety of really good drinks. This feature of the hotel was a real highlight since we generally prep and pack our food to reduce costs, it was so nice to have an area to heat up our food and enjoy it at a proper dining table. Adds a lot of value.

We had a wonderful experience at this stay! The front desk receptionist was incredibly kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A small issue came up during our visit, but he resolved it so quickly and efficiently that our stay remained completely peaceful and stress-free. We are so grateful for his help and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great hospitality in Courtenay. Thank you for everything!

An older hotel with renovated rooms. The bed was comfortable and I slept fantastic. Wifi was perfect and the room had a large t.v. The most surprising feature was an absolutely fantastic shower! A huge rainfall shower head with great water pressure. Front end staff were lovely and accommodating. We felt very welcomed and cared for. I will happily use this hotel again.

Excellent hotel. From the outside it looks like a regular motel, but inside the room everything feels high-end. Good quality bed, great lighting, charging ports, big TV with all the streaming services, luxurious shower and sink. We stayed here for one night before skiing, wish we’d stayed longer. Only recommendation is herbal tea options in the lobby, but there is a 7-eleven up the street.

The Coast Courtenay Hotel is slowly becoming our second home when we go skiing. We always find it clean, comfortabble and quiet. We ask for a second floor room. The staff has always been kind and accommodating. Don't forget to use their specials and coupons if they apply!

So far its been excellent. Large rooms with modern interiors. Attentive staff at the front desk who are able to help out with problems. (Like locking yourself out of the room) bathrooms are very well put together and have nice modern fixtures installed. Fast internet too. All in all a good set up The kitchenette are nice. Little induction stove tops and a fridge amd freezer combo with a sink.

super clean, All of the Front Desk team members were super nice and welcoming. The manager kindly helped us get an earlier check-in, which helped us a lot. The young man at the front desk was always friendly and responded to our requests very quickly. The Asian lady who speaks Mandarin was also incredibly kind—she helped us with the coffee machine and even gave our kids some candy. Such a wonderful team overall!
